As from May 25, 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is enforced for all companies that process data on citizens in European Union countries. The regulation will also be included as part of Norwegian law as of 1. July. Ecoxy, (the general manager) is the responsible for processing of personal data. Ecoxy will process personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.


What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that may be associated with an individual; Name, address, telephone number, social security number, e-mail address, IP-address. Behavior patterns are also regarded as personal information; internet activity, purchase history etc.

Personal information that Ecoxy processes

1. Cookies on www.ecoxy.no

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by the browser. By using this site, you agree that these cookies will be added to your browser’s internal memory. You can at any time turn on/off cookies by changing settings in your personal browser. More information on how to control the use of these can be found at Nettvett.no. If you turn off cookies, there may be features on ecoxy.no that will stop working.

Name of cookie: _utm*, Google Analytics
Purpose: Gather information about how visitors use the website. This information is used in the work of improving the website. Only anonymous data is collected; traffic statistics, IP address, browser type, operation system, navigational data.

2. Contact information in conjunction with Ecoxy’s business

In connection with purchase, planning, execution and delivery of Ecoxy’s services, there will be communication by telephone and e-mail. Contact information such as name, phone number and e-mail address, as well as mail history will be stored in Ecoxy’s e-mail inbox. The individual employee is responsible for deleting any unnecessary content in their personal email boxes.
Purpose: The communication data will only be used for preparation if the same service is requested in the future. The contact data will not be used for marketing purposes and will never be shared with someone outside of the Ecoxy system. The information will be stored if a future business relation is likely.

3. Subscription to our newsletter

Ecoxy sends out newsletters 1-2 times a year via email. Ecoxy utilize the email marketing service Mailchimp to organize the distribution of these newsletters. The names and email addresses of the subscribed recipients are stored in Mailchimp’s system but will never be targeted by any mails other than the newsletters from Ecoxy. The contact data will be deleted upon unsubscribing, which can be done at any time: Unsubscribe from mailing list.

Mailchimp uses the same beforementioned cookies related to Google Analytics. In addition, they use pixel tags to provide statistical data of the newsletter campaigns.
Purpose: To log how many of the news mails were opened, what actions were taken e.g. number of subscriptions/unsubscriptions.

Data security

Exocy uses Office 365 (Sharepoint, Outlook) as a work platform in its daily work. This service is provided by Microsoft and satisfies the data security standard ISO/IEC 27001. For information about Microsoft’s data security and privacy, see Office 365 – Trust Center.
Ecoxy incorporates internal control routines that ensure a continuous assessment and improvement of privacy and data security.

Your rights

You have the right to request information about what personal data we have about you.
If you have experienced anything you believe is a breach of the privacy policy, you may send a complaint to the Datatilsynet.
