Businesses with emissions to air are required to document that emission levels remain within the limits set in the environmental permit from the Norwegian Environment Agency.

Ecoxy performs accredited measurements of NOx, CO, and particles (PM) from land-based facilities in accordance with the Pollution Regulation and the requirements of the NOx fund. We serve district heating plants, combined heat and power plants, boiler plants, and industrial processes throughout Norway.

Did you know? The NOx fund requires documentation of actual emissions before and after implemented measures to provide grants for NOx-reducing investments such as SCR systems.

NOx – Nitrogen oxides

Accredited NOx measurement that documents that the facility complies with the emission limits in the environmental permit and the requirements of the NOx fund. Basis for fee calculation and grants.

NS-EN 14792 · CLA

CO – Carbon monoxide

Measurement of CO provides information about combustion quality and is a requirement in many environmental permits. High CO levels may indicate operational problems.

NS-EN 15058 · NDIR

Particles (PM)

Dust and particle measurement from flue gas. Important for waste incineration, biomass boilers, and industrial furnaces. Documents compliance with emission limits for PM.

Pollution Regulation

Facilities with emission permits from the Norwegian Environment Agency are required to document actual emissions. Ecoxy provides accredited documentation that meets these requirements.

NOx fund

To receive grants from the NOx fund for NOx-reducing measures (e.g., SCR), documentation of actual emissions both before and after the measure is required.

Measurement frequency

Facilities with thermal power >10 MW: measurements every year. Facilities with 1–10 MW thermal power: measurements every 2 years. Ecoxy assists with planning the measurement program.

NS-EN 14792, NS-EN 15058, NS-EN 12619, NS-EN 13284, ISO/IEC 12039. We select the right standard for your facility and your environmental permit.
