Businesses subject to EU ETS are required to have their greenhouse gas emissions verified by an independent accredited third party every year.

- NS-EN ISO 14065:2021 – Climate-specific accreditation for EU ETS 1
- NS-EN ISO/IEC 17029:2019 – General validation and verification, incl. EU ETS 2

- Review of monitoring plan (MMP)

- On-site visit (normally once a year)

Facilities with low emissions
Facilities with under 25,000 tons of CO₂ per year can apply for exemption from mandatory on-site visit.
